Thank you all for your input about my non-starting 1984 'Vette. As you may recall, I suspected a fuel problem. I replaced the fuel pump and pump strainer, but it still would not start. I knew I was getting fuel to the injectors after replacing the pump, so I moved on to spark. I got spark on one wire, but then the battery went dead. SO, I hooked up the charger and moved on to other projects. I went out tonight and tested a second wire. Wouldn't you know, not only did I have spark, but the engine fired. I have a couple of theories, and would love to hear your input.
1. Perhaps I was not getting a steady supply of gas after replacing the pump, and it took a few cranks to re-fill the line.
2. Excessive moisture in the air kept the distibutor from firing properly.
3. A loose connection somewhere?

1. That would have been very easy to see for yourself, if you had the top of the air cleaner assembly off.
2. VERY unlikely.
3. Always a possibility.
