Default 1996 o2 Sensor Help

Hey all- I'm going to buy the Densos, but question to o2 gurus...
How many does my 96 LT1 have total? And Does anyone have the part numbers and any install tips? Thanks a million...

It should be like my '95, its got two of them. It was a little awkward to get at them on my six speed and I think it is worse on your auto.

I did buy an O2 sensor socket to help with the removal.

OOPS: from the post about the '94 it says that the '96 has three.

my 96 auto has 4

but from what ive read .. one isnt used

I knew theres 4 physicaly there thou ... just replaced both rears with a sim... no more problems.

96 LT1 & LT4 should be the same.......both have 4 sensors.....one before the cat & one after the cat......both left and right cats for a total of four(4) sensors.........ones up front are for A/F ratio feedback to the computer and the ones after the cat are to check the cat....

...or so I think...

Thanks fellas... I've been having an intermittent coding in open loop only... I'm thinking that one of the heaters is not functioning, causing the o2 sensor fuse to blow at high rpms while cold...

it has 4 because it is the only C4 that is OBD2. the front 2 adjust your AFR from the exhaust gases and go b4 the cats... and the 2 after it are for emmissions. those rear ones are the 02 sensors that people always use the 02 sims on... so
