Going to the Drags tonight, I recently installed an AFPR, My stock reading was 46 PSI, and I bumped it up to 48PSI.
Curious if any L-98's out there with exhaust mods like what I have, and what FP has been a success with you. And Yes I was running lean on the dyno, This is why I got an AFPR.
That's probably a good place to start. However I thought our stock '88 settings where closer to 43.
It's gonna be a trial and error thing for ya. Start with 48, bump it up (or down) and look at your time slips. You can even check your plugs.
My last time at the track, with my mods, I was at about 47/48 but found my plugs to be showing a lean condition. I have since bumped it up to about 50 psi.(with no new track data/results.)
Every car is different and the weather plays a huge impact on it. Do a few passes bumping it up by 2 psi each pass. If you see your MPH go down then drop it 1 psi. Without a scantool on the car it's hard to play with.

yah sounds good, i didnt get around to doing the short throw, or cutbacks. oh well! next time.
last time at the track my best was a 13.78@101 with a 1.99 60 foot.
since then i will be taking out the spare, i added an afpr/hypertch cap/coil/rotor and new moroso wires.
so time will tell, my goal is 13.70.
