Anyone have aim? msn? yahoo? I can send pics... there are 2 tubes on either side of the throttle body that look like PCV valve ends, uncapped, opened to the air, metal and rusty

my SN is odinsrageSS on aim, yahoo, and MSN, can some LT4 expert help me? 96 CE. I can send quick pics or I can email them to someone?

They are water passages to the throttle body. Someone has eliminated them already. No problem, they're not needed except maybe in extremely frigid climates in the winter, if then! I pulled the tubes and capped the holes for the sake of appearance.

Yeah, somebody has already done the TB bypass on that car. They were coolant passages.

stupid me, i was thinking that unfiltered air would be getting into the system! So capping isnt totally necessary!

but what is the thing that just sticks into the top of the accordian hose? like a grey plastic thing?

I'm not sure but if it's a plastic 90 degree nipple and DOESN'T have a vacuum hose running down to the distributor, THAT situation needs to be remedied. It's part of the venting system for the opti spark and is crucial to long life for it. That's the only thing I can think of that goes into the top of the accordian.
