Do you have the FX3? If so would it be worth the money to upgrade?

Since you have the Z51 shocks, if you are happy with a performance minded ride, find a set of bilsteins for the Z51 car. Several shops sell them.

work, if that's your cuppa joe now or in the future.
Alternatively, you can return your existing Bilsteins
and have them rebuilt: stock valving or for AutoX.
Check the Bilstein site for details and $$$. When I
last looked, there wasn't THAT much difference
between replacement and rebuilding. I haven't
made the move either way yet.

On the stock Z51 shocks it's almost the same price to have them rebuilt. For the hassle of taking them off, putting cheap shocks on / or not using the car, waiting for them to come back, you're almost a wash between buying new and rebuilding. If you had the FX3 you're better off getting them rebuilt since it's about half the price of new and new FX3 shocks are close to $200.00 each.

I would replace with Bilsteins.

What is this & what does it do?
under the car at the four corners of the frame
section between the front/rear suspension areas
for the purpose of reducing torsional twist. If a
chassis does not have sufficient resistance to
torsional loads to cope with stiff spring/anti-roll bar
rates, then bump and cornering loads twist the
chassis instead of compressing the suspension.
Anything that is effective at making the chassis
into a rigid platform assists the suspension to
perform as designed and improves ride/handling.

I think Bilstein's are the best bang for the buck; far superior to Gabriel's and KYB's for about $70each. How can you go wrong?
...and yes, it's only a few dollars more to buy them new than to have them rebuilt. If you have to ship them to Bilstein, then it's about a wash.
