Strange Sound when Ignition turned on
Hi Everyone, Quick question. I was driving my 93 over the weekend when hte engine started to stumble. It triped code 36 (distrbutor). The symptoms matched the code since I have replaced this 2 times before. But, now, when I turn the key to on I hear a loud sucking sound. It comes on around the same time as what I believe the fuel pump would sound and for relatively the same duration. I have also had the tach do odd things when I have turned the ignition to on, not turning the car over. These things have only happened since the car started to malfunction. Could this be an ECM problem or am I in Opti Denial? I haven't washed the car in over 3 months and it is kept in a garage under a cover. It has a new waterpump and no sign of fluid anywhere near the opti. Thanks-Phil
