Default DeWitts Radiator Feeback .....

First off the DeWitts radiator is a quality unit. It is a tight fit but a little finese and minor triming the rubber mounts (AC condensor side) with a razor blade did the trick. The trimming was mainly for my benefit.

My Vette has never ran this cool since I have owned it. With the AC on and the ambient temp out side at 100 degrees my cruise temp was 185. I have a 180 tstat. While at track getting ready to stage the highest temp was 190 degrees at idle just the fans doing their thing. I am also running a 70/30 mix (water/glycol) with one bottle of Water Wetter. Tomorrow it is going to get up to 106 and it will be a good time for a test.

From past casual looks, I've come to feel that
when the time is right, I'll most likely choose
a Dewitt.

What year is your car? I was under the impression
Tom D's radiators came with mounts and fit like
a charm?

Wish I could afford one for my 94. I heard they are great

Mine is a early 84. My Vette was made in 06/03. They might have used a different AC condensor-I am not sure. I have noticed some other odd minor things like this before. Nothing major.

This is not a slam on Tom's product. I think it is great.

Honestly I think Tom is great too. He returned my phone message. I could not find the rubber mounts in the box so he sent me out another set 2 day. Which I thought was fantastic. When I took the radiator out of the box for the install guess what fell out of the box. Apparently the rubber mounts were located in the little space under the radiator in the box.
