Default 383 cam suggestions

I thought I had my cam figured out. While taking the 383 out of the Camaro that is going into my Vette I found it had the saddles cast into the block for the factory roller rocker retainers. I am planning on drilling and tapping the saddles and put in the roller cam and lifters from my '87 Vette motor. My question is which cam should I put in?

My specs are -

Cast iron block and heads
Heads ported and polished with 2.02" valves, screw in studs and guideplates
1.6 Crane roller rockers
stock exhaust
19# Ford/Bosch fuel injectors
Very little work done on the intake
Gutted MAF
Cut lid
MUST PASS CALIFORNIA SMOG
Of course it would have to idle and have sufficient vacuum

I would like the power band to be in the lower rpm range.

I was looking at a one of these cams

Int Exh
264 274 - Duration (gross)
216 224 - 050" duration
440 480 - Valve lift 1.5 rockers
469 512 - Valve lift 1.6 rockers
112 Lobe center

or

Int Exh
270 282 - Gross duration
214 227 - 050 duration
480 515 - Valve lift 1.5 rockers
512 549 - Valve lift 1.6 rockers
112 Lobe center

or

Comp Cams 12-707-8
244 050 Duration
586 lift
110 Lobe center

or

suggestions?

Remember, I need to keep this California Smog Emmisions legal.

Will I need to change the injectors?

Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Does anyone know what the specs are for a stock roller cam out of an 1987 Vette?

202/206@.050
.403in./.415ex. lift with 1.5's
115LSA

i believe those are them. if it need correcting someone please chime in and correct.

im very interested to see what people on the forum have to say about a cali smog legal 383.

i was looking at a crower flat tappet grind with

214/222@.050
.455in./.470ex. 1.5
114LSA
i forgot duration....

not big but for smog and a torque monster for the street and strip it should do well for a mild stroker that runs clean and idles smooth.

I'd rethink those injectors. 19# seems awfully small for a 383, I'd, at the very least, step up to the stock size 22# or some of the SLP 25# for $99.

...yes you really need a bigger size injector to feed the engine..

I kinda figured the injectors were too small but since my other ones weren't working and these were free.........

What I really want to know is about the cam. Anyone?

The best cam grind for a 383 that I have found is 234/242 with a lift 0f 539/558 112 sep using 1.5 rockers this is a custom roller grind and if your heads will flow you can make serious HP and torque #s still pull 11+ lbs of vaccum and maybe pass emmisions with the right tune
