The B&B Tri Flo's are probably the best looking and best sounding exhaust you can buy for the C4, but.........they are loud as hell and on an automatic car with 2.59 gears, cruising at 65-70 mph is totally unbearable.
They are also extremely expensive.
I almost bought the Tri Flo from a friend who couldn't take it anymore(he had them on for 200 miles).
They now sit on INSANITY's car and still sound and look great.
I'e had a set of 3" B&B Triflo's on my 92 vert with 2.73 gears for about 7 years now (Whaaat?? What did you say? ) The resonance is at its worst at around 1400 RPM which is about 60-65MPH. About 70 the resonance goes away almost completely and you can carry on conversations and hear the radio at low volumes.
The system is made from very heavy stainless steel and the polish job is excellent. The muffler cans are still as shiny as the day I took them out of the box. It is an expensive system but great looking. B&B has an X-pipe that you can order in place of the resonator and they also have a 2.75" system that is supposed to greatly reduce the resonance level in the car.
When I was looking at systems back then, Corvette Fever did an exhaust comparison and B&B gained the most HP (10) and torque (18 ft-lbs) and had the highest decibel level (105dB).
When I install the hardtop on my vert, the resonance pretty much goes away at any RPM.
I've had the B&B 3" triflows on my 94 coupe for a couple of months now. they are not as loud as I had heard they would be. There is some resonance, but it is tolerable. I think B&B did something recently to address the resonance. I think its the best looking system out there.

They did change the setup about 12-18 months ago, to help with the resonance.
Mine isn't bad at all. I would actually like to have it a little louder.
I'm thinking of getting an X-Pipe instead of the resonatotor if and when I get a new clutch!
I love everything about the 3-inch B&B on my stock '94 LT1 ragtop -- except for the resonance. I love the look, especially of the tips. Quality seems excellent. Sounds is great. But the resonance is truly horrible from just off-idle to ~2K RPM, especially in the higher gears. I can't use 6th gear at all unless I'm rolling >80 MPH. It rattles my brain, and threatens to kill what hearing I have remaining. I can't stand it. It keeps me from cruising at <2K RPM, which is sometimes annoying, and forces me to drink more fuel than I'd otherwise need to do when just loafing down the highway. It's at its worst with the top and windows up.
I actually contacted B&B about this, and to their credit, they sent me (gratis -- all I had to do was pick up the shipping -- very decent of them!) a pair of conical inserts that are intended to be installed in the outlets of the resonator. They say it'll help, but they're not sure how much -- maybe a lot, maybe a little. I haven't installed them yet, as they need to be tack-welded in place, and I don't weld. I hope to get them installed soon, and I hope it kills the resonance. If not, I may ditch the system and try a Corsa.
I have heard from others that B&B changed something (muffler design, I think) at some point in the production run of this system, and that the newer design may have reduced the resonance, but I can't personally vouch for the accuracy of this statement.

I have the B&B tri-flow system on my car and it looks fantastic. The shine is incredible. But, it is a bit noisy especially with a good set of headers, which of course is on the car. I ripped out all the obsolete sound deadener under the carpet and installed all up-to-date new material. It made one helluva difference. I don't know much about the Corsa, but I am very happy with my B&B.
Great looking system......new is not as bad as old.......earplugs are mandatory on the old......ok system for racers or around town cruising, but not for highway trips...
Does B&B have a 3" X-pipe for the Tri-Flo??? I was looking for one to replace my resonator but couldn't find any.
If not, any idea where to get one???
I asked B&B about the notion of swapping the resonator for an x-pipe on my 3" system, and they strongly advised against it. They said it would make the resonance even worse.
My car is an automatic, but has the 3.07 rear end. Any thoughts if this will help or hurt the resonance factor?
The resonance is horrible and if I could find a buyer locally and not loose too much cash, I'd dump The B&B Tri-Flo system and go w/Corsa. Don't waste your money!
