Exhaust Heat Shields
So will I burn up if I take them off? They are rattling horribly!!!! Is there a way to quiet them up other than taking them off??? Could I take them off and wrap the pipes? Just a question...

I've been told the temp will rise significantly under the hood if you do this. My heads have what look like sheet metal screws that hold the two sides together. Do your have those? Have you tightened them?

If you tighten them up, they shouldn't rattle
you may need to get the car up in the air to do this
Heat shields protect brake fluid and fuel lines from excess heat
Might be pretty difficult to successfully wrap manifolds
Like someone else said, check the screws. I actually installed stainlees nuts bolts and lock washers to keep them tight
