What exactly does siamesed runners mean?
When I look at pics of siamesed runners it look like its only about a inch or so into the runners.I have a friend that is a welder so I can do some siameseing to my stock runners like a Gulstrand l98 pic I saw(looked like he went about half way down the runner).But when people say siamesed are they ever the whole runner length or just an inch or so?

If you think about it all a siamesed runner is, is an extension of the plenum and a reduction in runner length. The result is a slight loss in torque and an increase in RPMs (horsepower). Going deeper into the runners isn't a linear function so much as it's a reduction/loss of the tuned intake charge.
This is one of those classic deals where "if a little is good, more isn't better"
