I just changed the oil on my 95 and the next day I noticed some drips of oil on my floor. I jacked it up and started wipe'n all the oil off, put newspapers down and let it sit overnite. The next day there was about 6 drops on the paper and it looks like it's coming from around the opti-spark. Can anybody tell me how to fix this? Thanks, Bob
Don't know if you're aware of this but the LT1 motor is known to have a badly sealed intake manifold.
Reach around (from the top) behind the intake manifold, and find the joint where it sits on the block. This is where it leaks. If you have oil leaking up here, you'll have it on your hands as you feel around.
The fix is to remove the intake, and re-install it with new gaskets and gasket sealer, letting it dry overnight before starting the car up.

If it's leaking in the front, it's likely one of these, there are three up there. Opti, crank seal and w/p drive seal. If one is leaking, replace all three since you'll be right there. The other possibility for a front leak is the aforementioned intake, usually from the corner(s).
Thanks for the help Corvette Kid . Do you think that 5w-30 mobil 1 is too light for the summer since this leak only started when I changed the oil? I just bought the vette a month ago and didn't know the weight of oil I took out. Maybe running 10w-30 mobil 1 will stop the leak? Fellow forum members I NEED your opinion...

Oil thickness will not effect the leak. This is a common problem with the LT1 mine does it. It is not that hard to do the intake it is on my list the gaskets are on the shelf. I have read it is best to dimple the areas where the RTV is applied so it does not blow out (like it did to start leaking)
