Default Is it possible to lower the front ...

.. just changing the triangular pads at the end of the front spring with thinner pads?
If yes is it possible to do this without removing the spring?
I'm asking this because it seems that the "wedge thing" has been done by the previous owner but the car is too high.
I want it a bit lower.
Is it possible to remove the pads at the ends of the springs without removing the whole spring??
-Thanks-

Yes....you can trim them down and get another 1/4"-1/2" or so depending on how many layers you remove.

If yes is it possible to do this without removing the spring?
I doubt it.

Beppe,
The answer to your question is yes I could have cut the rubber/plastic end off of the spring while it was in the car. You will have to jack the front pretty high disconnect the sway bar and pop the lower ball joint free. Then you can push the lower arm arm low enough to cut the pad on the end of the spring. Unlike the rubber spring mount the end pads were easily cut with a razor knife. I probably cut too much but then again if your going to go low slam it.
(Caveat tested on a 95 vert your results may vary)

Don't forget to put something back between the lower a-arm and spring. I used a piece from an old bumper cover but u can use most any good rubber. You need to get the front up at least 20" to get the spring out. Don't forget to cut off the spring brackets 1/2" or the spring will be loose.
You don't have to put the wedges in there. Just trim the stock rubber down to 1/4" or so and it will do the same thing.
Doing the above, I lowered the front down about 1-1/2". You'll need 2 9/16" X 10" or 14mm bolts and some locking nuts for the back to get it down that far.

I got the whole kit, new, for sale if someone needs it.

thank you!
... and probably putting a lift just under the very end of the spring?
...just to lift a bit the end of the spring from the lower arm . just the time to extract the triagular pad...?
it's doable?

If you've exposed the end pads, you're only 8 bolts away and lifting the car up higher to remove the spring.

Cutting those with it off the car will be twice as easy

I disagree removing the spring was the biggest PITA of the project. Getting it mounted again was the second. If he already has the lowering wedges, removing the tire and splitting the lower ball joint is an easy task.

I disagree removing the spring was the biggest PITA of the project. Getting it mounted again was the second. If he already has the lowering wedges, removing the tire and splitting the lower ball joint and disconnecting the sway bar link and removing the two shock bolts is an easy task I could cut both ends and reasemble the front in under an hour and a half. Pulling one of the lower a-arm to remove the spring is at least an hour for a removal and replacement.

Removing the bracket to get the lower a-arm bolt out was another pita my header blocked the lower bolt mounting the bracket to the frame. Cutting a one little piece of rubber is simple.
