flashing "sys" (that sounds weird!)
Hey guys, I want to thank everybody who helped me out with my injector dilemma. The {ford} 24 pounders work GREAT! The car runs better now than it ever has! I have one quick question. Since changing the injectors the "SYS" message will flash 3 times and then wait probably about 30 sec. and flash again. Car runs fine, is this because of the change in injector size and is it something that can be easily reset? The owner's manual provides the usual "contact dealer" bull. Thanks for info!

That usually indicates some kind of electrical problem. #1 on the list is a weak battery, but it can be other things. I've only experienced the weak battery part, so I'm not sure what else it means.

I am not sure what year your car is, but you need to read the codes.
If it's a 1992-1993, this will work perfectly, earlier will work fine, too, but the codes will be different.
If it's later, it requires a different paperclip configuration. 1996? outta the question! The codes don't all fit on the speedometer!!!

I had the same problem after I put in an aftermarket stereo.
If you have an aftermarket stereo, that is probably the reason it is flashing.
I believe there is a cure for this problem in Tech Tips.
