need help w/ tires
my back tires look like slicks, but i priced a new set of GY Eagle F1's and they are $335 per. im going thru a divorce right now and cant afford that. anybody know a cheaper, but still performance oriented tire or a cheaper source. i need 275/40ZR17's. thanks members.

Look at the Kumho Ecsta Supra 712 from Tire Rack. This is an excellent tire for the money!! Their price is $107 each plus freight and then mount/balance.

thanks for the info, will have to check those out. do you know anybody on the forum that has done a rim swap and is willing to let go of a set of used tires for a decent price? i was informed that this was one of my options, the cheapest option by far actually. i appreciate the help.

I will sell you my OEM good years, 275's for $25 each plus shipping.
there about 1/2 worn....
they are on my 96 Z51 car.
I turned it into a track car, and took the original wheels off years ago. they are sitting in my basement.
if you want them.... I will get them dismounted.

hey blur, i really appreciate the offer. are they the right size? 275/40ZR17's for 9.5" rims? if so, i would love to do the deal. i wont have cash till the first (because of the above mentioned divorce, she is raping me), but we can swap info and be ready to transact for the first of july. my # is 910-526-7869 and my name is shawn. once again, thanks. I put a set of these on my 85 and then again on my 94. Best bang for the buck in my opinion. I even autocrossed in the stock tire category with them and it made a huge improvement.
