Default Tuning update

Today I installed the 42's to see if there was aproblem with my 36# injectors. The reason I was checking is I had to set my injector constant to 31.5 to get the BLMs in line with the 36s. Well the 42s wher just about the same I had to set the constant to 35.5 to get the BLMs in the 128 range (120-135). I don't compleatly understand why this is but I have very little experience but am picking up a lot of good info along the way. I had plan to disable the MAF sensor today and play with the VE tables in speed density mode but the weather was not up to it, it is raining like crazy out there. The only thing I noticed with the instalation of the 42's is it runs a little lean at idle (137-137) but as soon as the RPMs get to 1100 I get 128/128 and it seems to be prety consistant other then that so i think i will just live with it. I am trying to decide if i want to stick the 36's back in or not but realy don't see the need as both sets of injectors seem to work just fine. (BTW anyone want to by a set of 36 or 42s? mabey that would help me make a decision .

As long as the BLM's are correct and there are no driveability or idle problems...leave em in there, won't hurt a thing.

Don't forget to take into accout the fuel pressure used for the flow rating given. Your pressure may be different and likely accounts for the injector constant discrepency.

Max, don't forget the FMS injectors are rated at 39 PSI -vs- 42 so in theory the constant shound be larger not smaller. I have the 36's back in and the stock MAF sensor and the stock MAF sensor tables and the injector constant set to 32 and the car seems to be happy BLMs are in the 118-133 range so I am going to call that good and start the WOT tuning as soon as I get it worked out with Alvin.
