Default Which bolts replace w/ARP?

I'm doing a rebuild of my '89's L98 and would like to know which of the various bolts should be replaced w/ARP bolts. I tried searching the Forum, but could not get a good idea so all help is welcome!

A lot depends on how you are going to use it. I would say, that in the order of importance, first, are the rod bolts. Second the main studs, and last, the head bolts. For almost any engine, I would use the rod bolts. The main and head bolts are mostly for higher output engines. For even higher output engines, ARP makes stud kits for the mains and heads. Anything else is pretty much "fluff". Header bolts and valve cover fasteners are nice, but how many hundreds of thousands of pounds of tensile strength do you need for a bolt threaded into aluminum?

Is this a stock or modified engine? The rod bolts are definitely a good idea but will require resizing of the rods after installation. The head bolts, might as well if you're going to replace them anyway. I'm not sure if this is a requirement on the L98 (replacement) but it is on the LT1. The mains I wouldn't worry about unless you're going to be making a good bit of power but then if it gives you peace of mind, why not? They're not that expensive either.

The mod's will be: Accel/LPE Superram, ported heads and a 'Comp' cam w/Magnum rockers. Eventually I'll put on headers. So...replace the mains w/ARP's?

i run ARP studs on my mains, heads and arp bolts on rods. bolts should be fine , i think jesse ski_dwn_it only runs arp bolts no studs and his motor makes over 600HP and the car runs low 10s

Oh quit making his head swell anymore! Yeah he's good, yada, yada, yada I will say this. What I like about their head bolts is that they do an excellent job of maintaining clamping force compared to a stock bolt. This was something that really got my attention the first time I removed them.

Rods for sure. Have a machine shop do the swap. They can tell you if aany additional work needs to be done. I went with head bolts after that. Am still running stock mains (4 bolt).

I just got off the phone with a rep at ARP. The best he could figure was to give me part #'s for a basic 350 on the Rods (p/n 134-6403), Heads (p/n 134-3601) and Mains (134-5001) w/large journal. Anyone know if these are correct for my L98 w/stock heads?
