I am getting the last touches done on my carb conversion. My other motor sitting on the stand is .40 over 400(408), and I am setting it up for boost.I want to know if the vortech blower kits for carb motors will fit or be made to fit on the vette.I have an 85,and a 4" cowl is being put on the car so clearance isnt an issue.

does anyone have any info on this setup,or comments good or bad?

thanks in advance
CHRISTOPHER

P.S I am new to boost(always been a nitrous junkie)Is there anything to know about the initial engine setup besides low comp and ring gap?

Camshaft profile is critical to utilizing the boost...select the wrong camshaft and you will blow it right past the valve.

You pretty much have the same things to be concerned about as you would with nitrous...

I would venture to say that the carb kit could be adapted to a vette. Get the vette bracketry and mix with the carb box, you may have to custom plumb it....

Hope this helps,
