cant get the bolt in the back on my 85 L98. Whats the secret. Do I need a special tool? Thanks
This is the way I did it.
I took a 3/8 'claw' wrench, sawed some off.
I wedged a block of wood [2X3] next to it and pushed.
There are lock washers under the bolts and they are on tight , use liquid wrench.
Also, check the size, mine are 3/8--not metric like the rest of the car
Now I'm sure there is a better way, but this is how I did it.

There's just no room for the wrench (unless it's 3 inches long) and a socket takes up the space between the bolt and the bottom of the valve. You can get a socket on it, but cant get the ratchet on the socket.

Both a 10mm and a 13/32 fit about the same. I guess I'm going to start cutting my tools up, LOL

The bolt you have pictured I was able to get with a socket. The one in the rear is the bad one. If I cut a wrench to fit, it's going to wind up only about 3 inches long with room to move only a couple inches.
I just bent the old valve. Now it's easy to get a socket on it, LOL. Now just to tighten the new one. Can't bend that one.!

Finally got it with a regular box wrench, but from the opposite side of the bolt. Total time 2hrs 15minutes to replace, 1 hour of that messing with 1 bolt.
