Default Anwsers needed for moding my 355...

Okay everyone. I wanted to build a 434 but that is just not possible in the near future. So I am just going to beef up my 355. Here are my plans. I will be installing a Vigilante 9.5 2800 stall converter in a few months. Then I want to install a mini-ram, and AFR 195cc competition ported heads. Also, I want to use 1.6 roller rockers. I need to select a good cam for it. I know nothing about cams, so I will need help on the selection. I would like a cam that idles a little bit rough, but passes emissions. Also, I don't want the car to idle anything over 800 RPMs. It will be a daily driver, so I don't want high idle or anything. I am planning to just leave the block as is. It is a pretty new block, with maybe 30k on it since its rebuild. What kind of compression am I looking at with the above mods? Is there anything else that I am leaving out that I need to update? After these mods, my next big mod will be to a D44. I was also thinking of a high volume oil pump, and a 7 qt race pan. What do you guys think? How much HP and 1/4 time you think I am looking at? Thanks.

Was wondering what year vette you have?
What heads are on it now?
What cam is in it now?
What valve springs are in it now?
What size valves are in it now?
What head gasket is in there now?

Emissions testing will be your biggest hurdle.
What octane gas will you be using?

You probably need a 112 LSA, a 110 will probably not give you enough vac to operate the brakes. I know a 110 I ran did not.

A cam with lift in the very high .500's should do you fine.
A head gasket with less compressed thickness than you have now will give a tad more compression.

How are getting EGR to work?
Not sure if the mini ram has EGR, but I think it is on the back of the intake there right?
Sorry for all the questions, I like to see the whole package

If you went roller, ZZ-409, but I see on their site that they make it for the 86 and earlier flat tappet as well.

Everything on my motor is stock. As for the miniram having EGR, I don't know. As for octane, I use 89 now, but if I had to go to 91, then that would be okay. I have an 86 Vette.

The miniram does not have egr. If you can get past the visual inspection, then you can tune it to pass emissions depending on cam selection.
