Sorry, this post disappeared for awhile and I didn't get a chance to look and respond to the post about my "little" cam. Drivability with this bumpstick is EXCELLENT!!! I use this cam on stock displacement and mild strokers that are oriented to the street. It is tailored very well to ported 113 heads or smaller port aftermarket castings (like AFR's 190's). You can tell it has a cam in it, but it isn't at all rough and makes a tremendous amount of power. My stock bottom end, ported head, SR combination that I drove daily for two years made around 400-420 hp at the crank (as evidenced by its 115 mph trap speeds) yet idled impeccably. This is a perfect cam for a SR or a big tube TPI motor. It also works very well in LT1 applications though generally I would throw a little more intake duration at the short runner LT's.

How well do you think that cam will work with a set of 195 Comp Port heads?

VERY WELL!!! But it's a milder cam; like I said, the perfect cam for someone who drives their car...A lot...

The specs are: 214/228 @ .050" on a 112 lsa with .528"/.560" lift with 1.6 rockers. Nice cam!!!!
So it's a little more "mild" than the LPE219? Sure there's a little extra exhaust in there, but I'm running .560" lift I/E with 1.6 Rockers and 219 duration I/E (the LPE219), and I imagine it's a little more lopey than that cam - but it's barely noticable on my 383ci. I'm also running TF heads which probably won't make as much power as the AFRs...

but again, mine's a DD and I can't say I ever notice lope in the idle.

Yup...But it's a split duration camshaft which works better with the setups that we're running, particularly when the I/E ratio isn't great. the idle is very similar to an LPE 219 camshaft. Like I said, it's not a big cam, it has great manners, but it will make hella-power.

I can pull both of my valve covers off without removing the superram or unbolting a single extra item. I didn’t even have to notch the valve covers and I have taller valve covers vs. stock and 1.6 roller rockers.
