I have the muffler eliminators and it sounds pretty good, but I would like a bit more bark than what I have now.
Anyone here replace the center muffler/resonator with a Magnaflow universal or with something from Edelbrock to give it some more rumble?
It is still so quiet compared to my Mustang GT, where I had two chamber Flowmasters (2.5") with a Magnaflow cat h-pipe and shorty headers. My wife's Hemi Dodge is louder with it's Flowmaster system on (only slightly noticeable in the cab) than the Vette.
My supervisor did muffler eliminators(they are actually my old ones) he then replaced the resonator with straight pipes and eventually gutted the cats. The car sounds awesome, but I'm willing to bet he's down on power since the car is still stock.
Me personally I wouldn't gut the cats, I think replacing the resonator with an X pipe or something should give you the sound you seek, though you will lose some power.

I dont know much about LTx exhausts... but why would replacing the resonator with an Xpipe lose power? Not enough back pressure?
I have muffler elims and an H/X pipe near the rear of the exhaust (behind the OEM resonator). I also have Hooker Shorties and OEM cats. My engine is mostly stock and it sounds great to me. I just bought a set of long tubes and plan to re-install my B&Bs. I can't feel any loss of power, but it sounds good to me.
