Default AC help needed

My 94 seems to have a problem, the AC compressor clutch will not engage. I checked for DTC's and there are none; and i jumped the low pressure sensor, which activated the engine fan but did nothing for the clutch. Everything else looks/seems to work fine. Any ideas?

Low gas code will be through the controls - assuming it's electronic air. Disconnect and reconnect the battery. If it's low on gas but has some it, that should get it running albeit only briefly.

I guess I should have specified - it is electronic air, and there is no low freon code. I tried checking voltage at the compressor connector with AC on and there was nothing.

how about the high pressure switch? - my truck had similar problems and i replaced that switch on the silver "bullet" looking canister under the hood and the clutch started working again.

One more possibility is the AC clutch relay. On my 92 it is located on the rear of the drivers side inner fender close to the master cylinder resivoir. Mine has 4 wires, 2 green with white stripe and 2 brown. I'm not sure exactly how to test it (mine had obvious damage), but it was about $12 at NAPA and is very easy to install (2 screws hold it on the inner fender).

Good Luck

Well guys, thanks for all the suggestions, but I think I found the problem: the pressure cycling switch. I jumped it and the AC clutch engaged and all appears to work. One of my fuel line retainers had broken, allowing the line to contact the switch. What are the odds.
