On the Diag. connector

|F|E|D|C|B|A|
|G|H|J|K|L|M|

To clear SIR codes.

Connect Pin A (which is ground) to pin K.
Turn ignition to RUN (don't start the engine).
Wait for the fault codes to begin flashing.

Unground Pin K for 3 seconds.

Again ground Pin K for 3 seconds.

Unground Pin K and wait 10 seconds.

Turn ignition off.

I look at an analog clock that has a second hand on it. When doing this procedure the ground and ungrounding of pin K has to within plus or minus 1/2 second. So you may have to try the procedure a couple of times before you can get the codes to clear.

Note: Codes 52,53 and 54 Can not be cleared. These codes indicate the air bag system has been deployed and the DERM must be replaced.

Thanks.
I had code 16, and first I sanded both sensors and frame
where they seat, and following your procedure cleared error code.
No more INFL REST light.
