Default Valve Cover Blisters

The valve cover on the right side of my 92 LT1 has several large blisters in the composite(?) coating. I'm guessing this is caused by heat and that the coating is intended to dissipate that heat. I'm wondering why it's just the right side and not the left? Also, has anyone refinished these valve covers or do they just replace them?

that is just a powder coating type of thing.

It ain't all that special... just scrape if off and paint them.

you can also have them media blasted and then paint.

Yep. I think this is a problem on 92's with the mag covers. don't wire brush them... media blast and repaint with high temp paint.
