32==EGR failure
34==MAF or MAP too low
43==knock sensor

Fix the EGR problem first; there is a method on my site.

If your car has a MAF (what year Vette??) the problem may be in the power relay.

With the first two problems fixed the knock sensor problem may vanish.

sorry, most of us have sigs off. Troy kinda asked everyone to do it to save bandwidth....

as for the EGR:

1) Does the code appear immediately? If so, it's the EGR switch, which is easily reached under the throttle body, at the t-stat gooseneck. If the code (or codes) take a while, then it's gonna be the EGR valve, which ain't the least bit easy.

2) The relays are a good place to check, but don't be surprised if the MAF is bad, too.

3) The knock sensor will code if the other things ain't right. I agree 100% with 65Z01 that fixing the first two should fix the last one. If it does not, the knock sensor is rather easy to fix.

Unfortunately 85 has no power relays like the rest of us, which are usually the cause of the 34.

85 has a burnoff module buried in the dash on the passenger side, kinda expensive too. Its either that or the MAF itself.

For how much that stupid burnoff module costs that thing should be cast in gold and jewel encrusted...
