Default Need help with codes

My car took a crap on me today. When i checked my codes i got 15,16,27,28, and 69. When i tried to drive it the speedometer would show the speed then the service light came on and the speedometer read 0. My security light would also start flashing. The car would als surge like its going to cut out. The last time i tried to start it the service light came on right away. What gives?

Boy! It looks like that car has plenty of problems. First, the "Check Engine" or "SES" light is supposed to come on with the ignition, "ON", engine, "OFF". It is a confirmation that the light works. You are in serious need of a factory service manual. Go HERE for a new one, or you may find one in our "Parts For Sale" section, or on eBay. Besides identifying all those codes, it will have trouble shooting charts to help you find the cause of each code. Just because a code is for the O2, for instance, doesn't mean that the O2 sensor is bad. What it means is that the ECM received a reading from the O2, that was out of range, or improper. That reading COULD be because the sensor is bad, or it could be that the sensor is reporting a real situation with some other fault as the cause. Trouble shooting and tracking down the real problem is the only way to fix things without wasting a lot of money and pulling your hair out.
