Default Strange new problem

Hi y'all,

Ran into an interesting situation with my '95 vert this weekend.

All of a sudden my PKE stopped working and the radio continues to play (antenna stays up) when I shut it off and open the door.

Any ideas? Too weird for me.

How about other items? Do the interior lights stay on?

If yes, I'd look at the door switches.

If no, there may be a relay issue.

Interior lights are still functional. Remote opens passenger door.

I like this door switch idea. I need to shut it off and see if the antenna goes down after 10 or 15 minutes.

The radio antenna relay is under the well hatch along with the PKE antenna, but I can't figure out why the PKE would be affected by that relay.

My 95 did the same thing about three months ago. My hatch release wouldn't work either. (door switch only, the console switch would open it.) It was all tied to the plunger switch in the door well. I replaced it and function was restored.

Same thing on my '94. I lucked out and didn't have to replace the switch, mine was stuck, sprayed WD-40 on it an cycled it several times with my thumb and it started working again. So far so good.

I don't know what happened, but my 'vette healed itself.
I wish the Opti would have done that a couple of years ago!

Thanks for all the help, I'm sure you were right about the sticking switch.

Saved me from taking it to the evil Chevy dealer.

You all rock!
