I had some work done by a dealer and now I find that the key alarm that sounds when the driver's door is open with key inserted into ignition, now also sounds when the drivers door opens with the key out of the ignition. I believe the dealer went into the steering column to do something, and left the car in this way. i dont wish to bring it back if it is something easy I can do to repair. Anyone have any idea what needs to be done, to return the alarm to sound when the drivers door is open ONLY when the key is in the ignition?

There's two contact arms for that switch that make contact to the turn signal switch underneath it. They're real easy to get twisted up upon reassembly of the wheel. They're probably shorted under there. Unless you're real mechanically inclined and not afraid of the airbag you can fix it yourself, otherwise take it back, they hosed it up.
