Default AC Woes

Here in southwest Alabama it is as hot as hades. The a/c on my 95 picked a good time to go on the blink. Here's my problem:

A few days ago, I noticed that I could not change the controls (air flow, fan speed, auto, temp change) by just pushing the buttons. A little playing around with them and they would eventually change.

This morning everything was fine. All the buttons functioned properly. At lunchtime, all of that changed. Now I cannot get any buttons to function. The a/c still blows cold, just can't get it to automatic or even change speed of the fan.

Any ideas what the problem may be and what it might cost to have it repaired??

Please reply ASAP! I am suppose to drive it to Panama City Beach on Thursday for a weekend of golf. Gotta have some air!!
