Do these have a nice thick heavy spark plug boot? I'm looking for a solid set of agtermarket wires to replace my ailing Taylor's.....whose boots really suck bad - very disappointed in these.
I've done a search and have come up with these 3 best: MSD, Moroso, then TPIS.
I'm looking for a sensible wire thats good up in the mid-5k rpm range with great heat resistant characteristics, low resistance -- and excellent plug boots.
I too chose TPIS for their stock look & fit plus much lower resistance than the stock wires.
For the best boots however I would go with MSD 8.5mm Superconductor wires. I run these on the IROC and those big grey boots are very tough and heat resistant
thanks all, i think i'll get the TPIS wires this time around. i like the fact that they are 8mm....and the price isn't too bad at $59/set. i believe summitracing sells the MSD's for $70-80/set for our C4 applications.
actually, the boots on the stock Ac Delco wires were pretty substantial. the Taylors were terrible, much much worse than stock. how are the boots on the TPIS wires -- somewhere in the middle?

No the MSDs will not fit the stock looms, it's possible that you could open them up with a Dremel but I don't know it the remaining loom would hold the wires.
I even had to open up the Made For You looms used on the IROC to take the MSDs.
