So you've pulled a plug and visually checked it for spark? If you have lost spark, and you have power at the coil, something is telling the ECM not to trigger spark.

My guess would be the oil pressure switch. Good luck man, let us know what you find.

Not to nitpick, the ECM doesn't have that kind of control over the ignition system. It can advance and retard the spark but that is the extent of its control.

YEE-HAA! I got the darn thing running. After working on it for what seemed an eternity, actually about 8 hours, I figured out the problem was a failed ignition coil. The unit was a Summitt Racing brand and had around 1500 miles on it. I went step by step using the GM Service Manual and it came down to the coil. I was a little reluctant to buy a new one but facts is facts and after I installed the new one, she roared to life!
