Actually check with one of the forum dealers that offers a discount. I've heard they can be had for around $80 and from what I've also heard, the newer ones have a better case (which is what's wrong with mine).
I've about decided when mine goes I'm going with a Viper or Clifford aftermarket unit though.
When I purchased my 95 coupe it did not have the keyless transmitter with it. I suppose the previous owner lost it.
I have been pricing a replacement. The cost on Ecklers is about $150. I'm not sure I want to put nearly that kind of money into this convenience.
Does anyone know of a less costly source?
I have one that is easily programmed to your car. It is for a coupe. I'll sell it to you for 70.00 shipped. It is an original unit that works perfectly.
I just bought one off a forum member. He also included programming instructions (I can email them to you if you don't get any).
The pke fob works great. When I walk up to the car....the driver side door unlocks automatically. When I walk away from the car, the dook locks, and the horn beeps. No more fumbling with keys and door locks.
