I put in a little over 4K, but it could have been done for about 2500 if I would have gone cheap and reused all the friction components (flywheel, clutch, etc were in like new condition).
The 4+3 does not command the premium the ZF6 does so that is one way to do it cheaper. Also other options like fabbing up your own C-beam interface which would open up the possibility of using different GM transmissions, like the t56, provided the shifter location works. One thing to keep in mind is you'll need the 2-peice style flywheel which also might limit your options, but I am not the one to answer that.

I saw the complete package listed in the FS section, ZF, all hydraulics, clutch, bellhousing, even the tranny tunnel all for $1600. Keep your eyes peeled.

Seriously, this swap is more trouble than it's worth. Sell your car and buy the one you really want.
Plus it'll be this bastardized car, and that worries some buyers no matter who did the work, and you won't get any of that expense back if/when you sell.
Yes it does, right now a C4 is an inexpensive sports car. In a few years the C5 will be the best bang for the buck. It is usually cheaper to buy what you want than to convert to it something its not. If you do a conversion it is as someone else has stated no one wants to buy someone elses modifications so your resale value goes down the tubes. (Those that want a modified car usually want to do it themselves Now I am a hypocrite becuase I have been modding my car however, all of my mods are reversable so that I won't lose my a$$ when I sell it. IE instead of a gear change I installed a D44, I figure that it will take me a day to pop the 36 back in and then I can sell the 44. However, I am modding for increase power and speed, not to make a parallel C4 mode.Good day. Try this link

Once you figure out what you think it is going to cost for the set up you want multiply that by 1.5 or 2 and you will probably be in the ball park. It happens on everyone of my projects all the little things like manual console pieces are what end up costing the big bucks.

Keisler engineering has complete bolt in kits - with all the pieces - don't know about a C-4 - but the C-3 package cost 4200 bucks including shipping. Works great!
You can do it cheaper if you want to go to a 4+3 - make sure you do your research - no sence in putting in a tranny you won't be happy with.

6 speed will cost you much less than the Keisler, used anyways. Should be able to get a good used one for $1000, plus or minus a few bills. I added up something like $800 for the other things that would be required on a 4+3 car.
Without the Dana44 though, it's gonna add up even more.
