Default Got questions??

Just picked up my "new" '93 coupe today, and have several questions,
1. what does "sys" in sthe speedo reado mean?
2. what are the switches on the outside fronts of the sport seats? (not the recline levers)
3 what makes the interior lights come on besides the headlight switch?
4. how do you get the hood light to come on?

thats enought for now. however I love it!!!!!

1) Your Vette is telling you it wants a new battery. Or, an aftermarket stereo is screwing things up.

2) You're going to need to describe that one better. You may be talking about the "sport" lumbar controls. One switch and three buttons? For a `93 they should be on the inside near the tranny tunnel. If they are next to the doors, a previous owner flipfloped seats because of wear issues.

3) Dimmer switch.

1. what does "sys" in sthe speedo reado mean?
It means the CCM is throwing a code of some sort.

Read this: C4 Guru - Pulling CCM Codes, 1992-1993

2. what are the switches on the outside fronts of the sport seats? (not the recline levers)
These are to open and close the power operated wings on the seat backs. These are the large bolsters that support your torso.

3 what makes the interior lights come on besides the headlight switch?
The doors. The rear hatch lights will come on if the hatch opens, but not the rest of the lights.

4. how do you get the hood light to come on?
Check to be sure the prior owner didn't disconnect the harness to the lights. There is a two wire connector, down by the front side marker lights, one on each side, if there is a male and female connector not attached to anything, plug them back in.

I advise you do three things:

1) Read this thread: C4 Tech FAQ
2) Read your owners manual. If you don't have one, get one.
3) Invest in a Helm Manual, details inside the Tech FAQ.

Thanks, 2. The switches do nothing now. 3. The only door switches work the door locks, do they also work the interior lights, if so mine don't work.
