temperature problems
Hello everybody.Please help!I am from Russia.Yesterday on my Vette with temperature about 220 i couldnt even spin my tires with 3.73 gear!
But when it is cool I can go with the same acceleration az the bike Yamaha Phaser 600.Please tell me.Why the hot engine is not running well?My other car is Mitsubishi 3000 GT.I can stand with engine working even one hour without these problems.Thank you .Alex.

If you are running a stock thermstat and in hot weather temperature, you will see 220+ degree. espensively stop and go traffic. When mine 93 were stock, stop and go traffic it got up to 260 degree. way to hot pretty scary to me. But as speed pick up it cool down to 220+.
Later I got heads& cam upgrade and installed the 160 thermostat and reprogram the computer. The temperature have never go pass 210 degree in 93 degree weather. Most of the time it will show 170 degree or so even now with my turbocharged setup.
Try to install 160 thermostat and install a manual fan switch if you can't reprogram the computer in Russia. Good luck
