Help! 94 Surges at Idle
I recently purchased a 94 in really great shape. However, I have noticed that after it warms up, the engine surges while at idle such as when I am at a stop light. The problem dissappears when I turn off the AC. I changed out the fuel filter and air filter but that had no effect. I have been told that the problem might be the opti-spark distributor. My question is how hard is it to change this out and what is the approximate cost.
Also, before I go that far, is it possible that something else is causing it? If so what?
Thanks

It sounds like it could be the throttle position sensor. The only way I know to fix it is to replace it and the diagnosis is determined by testing the voltage. Not being a techie I can't really help you there. Good luck !
