Default Stalling after 30 sec

Hey guys, 91 vette 5.7-recently put in a fuel pump...then car ran good for 1 day, than ran *tty for a day, then it got worse... she only starts for 30 sec's then stops....if i give it gas it hesitates then gives a lil punch then turns off. I changed the cap n rotor, checked the air filter...bled the fuel nozzle. could it be pcv? throttle body sensor? dare i say ...computer?...my problem is..no mechanics around here want to work on a vette, they say send it to a dealer. any suggestions on what it is? if not...any "Reputable" vette shops in long island?

thanx'

Fuel filter is on the right frame rail towards the front. Relieve pressure at the fuel rail on the right side of the engine or pull the fuel pump fuse and try to see if it will run long enough to drain the line. Remove the gas gap and jack it up so that you can get underneath it to remove the filter. Once off, and if you have a compressor, blow some air through the main line - you'll have to disconnect it at the fuel pump - blow air in the direction of the engine. Once the new pump is installed, replace the fuse and disconnect the inlet at the fuel rail. Clamp a hose to it and place the other end in a coffee can. Turn on the key and let it squirt out a pint - you may have to turn the key off and back on to get it flushed. Hook the main line back up to the rail. Turn the key and let the pump run for 2 seconds. Turn it off and then start it. Don't forget to put the gas cap back on.

hi, i had about the exact same situation with my 85, had some issues, changed the fuel pump, car ran like brand new. second day, ditto. i changed the fuel filter along with the pump, so that wasn't an issue. i ended up changing the IAC and cleaning the MAF. problem has not happened since.

The Idle Air Control (IAC) is located under the TB, with the electrical connector on the right side.

Your '91 is SD and uses only a MAP sensor located on the right rear of the plenum; it does not have a MAF.
