The F-body guys have done well above that. Check out Z28.com for some 1000+hp F-bods. When you don't have to please the "general" public, just about anything is possible.

brodix heads (track 1) I think for the time.
dont know the cam, dont think anyone will find out what it was.
2 TO4B turbos. 22 pounds of boost
custom built headers, and I believe 3" down pipes.
tunnel ram intake with the stock plenum moddified to fit it.
as for pics I would have to dig for a long while.
the turbos were barried under the car, nothing like the production callaways. the floors boards of the sledgehamer were cut to fit these turbos.
as for the LPE comment. rumor has it lingenfelter built the engine. later reading, Reeves Callaway says they did not use that engine. Who knows.
