Default 89 Stumbling advice

I have hesitation issues and have seen several products that claim to solve this(Ajustable throttle position sensor kit,Throttle preformance switch). Has anyone used either of these or should I take the car in for a proper tune. I recently had the heads cleaned up and new plugs, wires, roter ect. put on when I reinstalled everything then set the timing to stock specs. I dislike the throttle lag but am not wanting to start thowing money in the wrong directions. Advice is welcome. Thanks, Pete

Your stock TPS is adjustable (ie it has slots where the mounting screws go through); use the method on my site to increase throttle response.

Also, try bumping base timing to around 8deg BTDC.

One word of caution with respect to the TPS bolts - they are aluminum and REALLY REALLY REALLY easy to snap the heads off of them. So be very careful when you are tightening them up after you've adjusted the sensor. All they need is a very slight snugging up. THAT'S ALL.

I suffered then breaking off on me once, and it was SERIOUS PITA to get out what little amount there was.

Good luck with it.
