Default soft top window for 88 model

Does anyone know where I can buy a rear plexiglass or rear window for my 1988 so I don't have to replace my whole top.

From what I have heard is it very difficult to get the soft window replaced. I know there was one guy that managed to get some interior specialist to heat seal it in with reasonably good results. I think the problem is that the plastic window is heat sealed and you need some special machine to do it and you would have to remove the top anyway? I guess it depends if you can find an interior guy that has the capability to do it.

Most folks find that their 10+ year old cars are in need of new top/weather stripping etc. and it is just worth replacing the top with a the glass in it

If your back window is only yellow and not cracked it can be polished back to near new condition.

Ecklers and Mid-America sell Flitz metal polish to accomplish this. You should be able to get Flitz and most speed shops and some larger chain stores. Sometimes Flitz will air commercials on Speed. Basically you use it like you would a car polish. Ecklers shows before and after results in their catolog. You can use flitz on plastics like motorcycle windscreens as well as brake light lens and it works great on aluminum.

My ragtop had the same problem, but I replaced, my cousin had the same problem and went to a few shops, and found one place to do it for $100.00 with no guarantee. I haven't herd from him in a while to hear if it still holds. They had to keep the car overnight, so don't expect a quick fix.
