any reason i cant replace flexplate with a 163 tooth model besides having to change the starter as well? any problems with that ?
as i cant find a 153 tooth flexplate for my stroker only 163.
also anyone know the factory diameter of flexplate?

Make that 168 teeth. I ASSUME you have an externally balanced, two piece rear main seal, stroker, crankshaft. There is no reason not to make the substitution. The flexplate will fit. A 168 tooth flywheel will not. You can simply change the nose piece on your existing starter, if it is otherwise in good condition. Make sure your block is drilled and tapped with all THREE starter mounting holes.
