Default DELTEQ users please help!

I finally installed the Delteq kit in my 94 vette.
Evereything went smothly until removing the sparkplug wires.
Once done everything else was just work.

I started the car and it did not take long to come alive!
Then the idle became very erratic and when y depressed the accelerator the tach needle would go down or erratic, and the engine would sound as if it was working on less than 8 cylinders!

Then it would recover for a while ( seconds ), just to repeat the cycle, almost shutting down.

I have double checked instalation and have really no clue on this one. Before installing the Delteq I tested the system using a riveted rotor and Idled perfectly .
So Far no trouble codes are present so I assume that the optispark is working ok.

Any thought / suggestions on this will be great, thanks.

I am desperate and want to drive the vette!

Call those guys up, I've had people have problems with thier delteq and the guys over there seem to be happy to correct or fix anything wrong with the unit.

You need to remove the tach filter. I was one of the first to install the Delteq on the 94 and after talking to Pete at Delteq I removed the tach filter and all was well. I cut the filter out then soldered the leads back togeather, it took all of 5 min. I thought they where going to add this step into the instructions, take a look it should be in there.

I found the install instructions on line and they need to be corected. They have the note about the Tach filter but they state it is for 93 only, that is incorrect. The 94, Corvette at least, also needs the tach filter removed/By-Passed. Here is a link to the instructions in case you dont have them

Also make sure your plug wires are the correct firing order. I had the same problem and it was to wires mixed up.

Thanks, double checked all that, tach filter was removed and white wires soldered.
It seems that 94 present different ways of interpreting data from the computer so they are sending me another optibox that should correct the problem. I will keep you posted on this.
Hope this works nicely.
