And the problems you guys are seeing are real! The back of a real C5 does not stick out as far, compare the bottom lengths of the rear bumpers. And the bottom of a real C5 front bumper is almost flat, not curving up like a C4. It is also longer on a C4. And last of all the body line that runs from the hood to the rear end sinks lower then goes up more at the back on a C5. Much straighter on a C4. Nice looking kit though in the pictures. Came out good, but I am anxious to see what the other guy in the forum is brewing!

 

The only body kit I really like best is the Callaway. Front bumper and rear bumper 1991-1996 body kit. But you can buy the damn thing and if you can find one, it so damn expensive.

That looks HOT! But I also think that the C5 kit that FD2BLK has looks as good as any I have seen. Please don't flame on me but I love the way C5's look as much as I do my C4, maybe more so.

 

Don't do it. You will kill the value of your car. Everyone will know it is not a C5. If you want a C5 Apply the cost of what you would have spent on a body kit and buy one.

to this i wholeheartedly agree. honestly, why pose (or maybe this isn't the intention, but it will be taken that way anyway) as something you're not? i can understand buying a vette that already has body modifications done to it because they buyer likes it; but to put forth tremendous cash resources to actually buy a kit and have it painted is....well, its just beyond me. the thousands $$ is much better spent on real performance; looking the part and playing the part are 2 totally different things. all that stuff that looks faster than it is is just setting ones' self up for ridicule.......or at least it should be that way.

i know what i described is a terrible opinion to some, and i don't mean to be so harsh.......but really, the corvette IS Amercia's sports car and i just hate seeing these beauties ruined by by some in the name of "being different". this does not hold water with me, but of course my opinion wouldn't matter to someone who's going to do it anyway.

in the end, i have to agree with what bogus said: if you're going to "customize" with body mods, please exercise restraint.

personally, i think nice wheels are always an excellent visual mod, i'm 100% for it good, tasteful paint jobs are another nice mod even hood louvers are pretty cool . but going beyond this - crazy bumpers, body panels, even wings, etc.......well this stuff just kills a corvette.

I am in the end stages of building a front end body plug. It will not be for everyone by no means, but for those that like to look different..stay tuned.

 

the c4 body is sexy, dont mess with a good thing, even rims im not too sure about, i haven't seen too many rims that look great on the c4
