Default Check Engine Light means......
I have a code 26 set from the ECM. I know what the issue is and am persuing getting a chip burnt to remove it. Ill also haul out the EGR and have that code dealt with.

The Helms manual does not speak to if there is ANY reason for the Check Engine Light on if that doesnt allow for the car to go into closed loop?

Does the light come on when driving or at startup??

After about 3 minutes of driving when warm, about 5 when cold. Code always shows as Historic

hey 65Z01, give him the diode fix. worked for me. did not have to reprogram ecm.
