Exhaust Question
Hi everyone, im new. I just posted my hello over in gen. discussion. I have a stock '86 and i want it to breathe better. I have read plenty of dicussions on here about exhaust and i know you guys probably get sick of it. My question is this, seeing as in Wisconsin we have no emissions laws that i am aware of, would this exhaust http://www.parts123.com/parts123/yb....Y68187919350g~ with a set of chambered mufflers benefit me. or would the elimination of the precats and the main cat actually hurt my performance. My budget is tight seeing as i am 18 and am leaving for school soon, but the entire pipe set is fairly cheap in my eyes.

That system should indeed free up the exhaust of your L98 but should be matched with increased intake breathing and more fuel flow at WOT.
The former can be done with a cut lid and K&N air filer; the latter by installing an AFPR.

Some counties in WI have emission checks and others do not. That is the same exhaust that I have been thinking of getting. I was thinking about that exhaust system and with the Magnaflow mufflers, but I'd like to find out what model muffler comes with the dual exhaust kit. Where in WI are you? I live near Sheboygan, if you get the exhaust can I hear it?
