Default '84 shift boot
I need to find out how to remove the automatic shift **** so I can change my boot.

You pry the button out then you'll see a u shaped clip.

The **** may be hard to get off after you remove c clip. I had to use a small piece of wood and tap on bottom of **** with hammer to get loose, gently.
