New Cam
I am finally getting the car back from paint and I am rebuilding my 383. Heres the cam I selected and specs what do you think?
COMP CAMS
Solid Roller
248 248 Duration @ .050
.609 .609 Lift + 1.6 rr= .647 total lift
114 lobe center
I also have my old zz-x for sale if anyone wants it.

Yea, I had the zz-x before with .558( 1.6's .595), and it was awesome. It would pull to 7 k and i would have to shift, but it was like it would jus keep going. and this cam is pretty similar and solid

just finished the valve job on the heads. I am going to run AFR 190cc competition port heads, and ported lt-1 intake, 54 mm Az Speed and marine billet TB.

There had to be more to TPIS's combo to make those kind of numbers. That sounds a little high to me.

Are your heads box stock, ported? Rearend gearing? Not enough info IMO. Your'e going to need an awesome tuner to make a short runner work with that much cam timing.
