Whats up with replacement of the double sided motor accessory drive belt on my 92 convertible LT1. Checked with local parts house and no replacement shown for it. I heard that there is a pully change for this car that will configure it for a regular one sided belt.
Any comments appreciated.
Avoid the local parts places like Shuck's/Kragens, AutoZone or the like as they really don't have a good listing for 92-93E belts.
Chris May at Superior Chevrolet in Merriam KS is the guy to deal with for a GM/AC Delco belt for the 92 to early 93 cars that had the double sided belt. He will give some great discounts to CF members.
There is a way to replace some of the pulleys to go to a single-sided belt but if you can find a belt in the $30-40 range, get two of them and you should be good for the life of the car.
