Options for replacing TPI runner and plenum bolts
I was wondering what some of you L98 owners have done with respect to replacing the factory Torx-head bolts that are used on the TPI runners and plenum. I have been contemplating replacing all of mine with black allen-head bolts and washers (I can get virtually any size and length from work), but I don't know how it will look, or if there will be any clearance/fit issues.
To be honest, I'd like to replace all of mine with the stock Torx fasteners, but I can't seem to find any part numbers for them. And my guess is that GM would want a small fortune for them also.
For those of you who have replaced your TPI bolts with something other than stock, feel free to post some pictures.

Apparently, the GP is closed, but there are 3 sets unpaid for, so you might still be able to get in on it.
this is a killer deal. It includes all the bolts needed, plus, all the tools required. It's a great price.
I got this for bastet44's 87 coupe, and the picture is in my post about 20 posts in on that thread (or so).

I believe all my bolt sets are spoken for now.
Bogus, the picture of Bastet44's engine is great and the finished product looks awesome!
CentralCoaster, I didn't realize that you were having the GP, or even that you were getting the fasteners from McMaster-Carr. I've dealt with the good folks at McMaster-Carr when I used to order up alot of items for work from them.
Actually, the fasteners that I can get from work are the same as the ones you were offering (metric or imperial), except they aren't the stainless steel ones but the flat black coated steel versions (it's what our tooling department uses to assembly heavy-duty assembly jigs and fixtures). So I just have to decide if I want the super-shiny stuff or the subtle flat black stuff under the hood. Decisions, decisions...
Of course, the flat black ones are free for me, so my decision may be swayed a bit

Thanks again guys!
